Machine’s designer

Mission

The Machine’s designer will be able to develop his skills or share his knowledge by getting involved in the development of new machines and in improvements of existing machines. He will have to move from the office to the workshop to bring his concepts to life. He will be as much the designer as the builder.

• Development of general concepts
• 3D design on Solidworks
• Electrical design
• External manufacturing management, component purchases
• Mechanical and electrical assembly, adjustments
• Start-up and testing
• Data recording, documentation and recommendations
• Other related tasks, as needed.

Position Summary

Alfa Mega is currently looking for a Machine’s designer learning is encouraged as well as the pursuit of maximum individual potential.

• 40 hours work week
• Flexible day shift
• Salary based on experience

Learning Objectives
Learning is encouraged as well as the pursuit of maximum individual potential. The trained machine designer will reach at least the following levels:
• Advanced 3D mechanical design
• Basic electrical design
• Intermediate project management
• Advanced mechanical alignments
• Understanding of intermediate pneumatic and hydraulic circuits
• Basic machining (milling machine, lathe, grinding machine, drilling machine)
• Basic welding (MIG)
• Industrial electrical and basic circuits
